What Are The Regulations For Refractory Bricks And Refractory Castables For Horizontal Converter Furnace Lining?

Each horizontal converter should be a branch project. Each branch project should be divided into end wall, furnace body masonry and air outlet, furnace mouth and other sub-projects. Each sub-project can be divided into one or several inspection lots according to the construction section and different masonry materials of the same part for acceptance.


First, the main control project


1. The varieties and grades of refractory materials should meet the design requirements.


Inspection method: observation inspection, inspection inspection report or quality certificate.


2. The mud fullness of the brick joint should be greater than 95%. The dry brick joint should be filled with materials according to the design requirements.


Inspection quantity: 2 to 4 places in the bottom of each layer; the furnace wall is inspected once every 1.25m high, 2 to 4 places in each spot check; 2 to 4 places in the vault.


Inspection method: Wet brickwork joints use Baige.com to check the bonding area between the brick surface and the mud. Each brick is smashed and the average value is taken. Dry brickwork inspection and inspection.


3, tuyere bricks, furnace mouth bricks should be laid flat, no triangular seams; refractory castables at the bottom of the tuyere area should be smoothed; the refractory castables between the tuyere bricks, the furnace bricks and the furnace shell should be dense.


Inspection method: observation inspection, ruler inspection.


Second, the general project


1. The thickness of the brick joint of the horizontal converter masonry should meet the requirements of Table 1.



Number of inspections: 1 to 3 locations.


Inspection method: Check the surface of the Sm2 of each masonry with a feeler gauge of 10 points, which is less than 50% of the thickness of the specified brick joint. Class I and II masonry shall not exceed 4 points.


2. The allowable deviation and inspection method of horizontal converter masonry shall comply with the provisions of 5.1.5 and 5.2.6 of GB 50309-2017 Industrial Furnace Masonry Quality Acceptance Standard.


3. The end wall masonry should meet the following requirements:


1 The straight end wall should be correctly staggered, and the joint with the circumferential masonry should be tightly jointed. The refractory filler between the masonry and the shell should be compacted layer by layer;


2 The wall surface should be straight. The surface level deviation should be 0mm~4mm;


3 spherical end wall should be smooth surface, the arc should meet the design requirements, the wrong tooth should not exceed 3mm.


Number of inspections: full inspection.


Inspection method: observation inspection, 2m inspection by ruler, feeler gauge inspection, ruler inspection.


4. The circumferential masonry of the furnace body shall meet the following requirements:


1 The circumferential masonry should be locked tightly, the inner and outer brick joints should be consistent, and should be in close contact with the end wall;


2 The gap between the masonry and the furnace shell is filled with the specified packing layer by layer;


3 The circumferential masonry should be rounded and the wrong teeth should not exceed 3mm.


Number of inspections: full inspection.


Inspection method: observation inspection, feeler gauge inspection, inspection construction record.


5. The masonry of the furnace mouth should be wet. The furnace support arch should be close to the arched masonry. The joint should be tight.


Number of inspections: full inspection.


Inspection method: observation inspection, ruler inspection, inspection construction record.
