Preparation Of Wear-resistant Refractory Castables/plastics For Boilers Before Construction

Before the construction of the lining, the following work should be completed: the installation work of the construction site has been completed; the relevant weld grinding work is completed; the temporary facilities have been completely removed and the experience has been accepted for the relevant handover visa; the materials are adequately prepared and qualified by the on-site inspection, and the construction equipment is complete. The corresponding technical documents are complete and the safety measures are ready.


1, the positioning of the line


After the installation of the equipment is completed, re-inspect according to the design drawing size to determine the plane elevation and surface center of the lining construction: generally use the piano wire or 1mm wire diameter to position the construction site.


2, anchor and accessories installation


The on-site anchor installation illustration is shown in Figure 1.

The anchor welding of the bearing parts of the boiler shall be completed before the boiler water pressure test. The material, model, installation size and installation direction of the anchor and accessories are in accordance with the drawing design requirements. The installation spacing error should be ≤ 3mm, the verticality and the bending degree ≤ 3mm, and the pallet should not be inclined downward. The anchors should be welded firmly. The density of the anchors should be increased according to the design of the surrounding parts. After the installation, all the welds should be surface-checked and confirmed. The anchor head is fully fitted with plastic caps as designed. When the anchor is designed without a plastic cap, anti-expansion measures such as asphalt should be applied to the end of the anchor.


3. Working surface metal surface treatment and brush asphalt paint


Before the lining is applied, the dust, floating rust and other residues on the metal surface are removed, and the asphalt paint is applied according to the design requirements; at the same time, the surface within 20 mm around the installation position of the anchor support is derusted.


4, template installation


Check whether the construction work surface is cleaned before the mold is supported, and confirm that the mold can be supported at the rear. The shape of the template should match the construction surface, the size is accurate, the surface is smooth and coated with grease to facilitate demolding. The surface of the template should be smooth and clean, and the installation is firm and reliable. The gap between the joints is ≤1mm, and the height difference between the two adjacent plates is ≤1.5mm. No displacement or deformation occurs during the construction rapping process.


5, wear-resistant refractory mixing


The allowable deviation of the composition of the refractory castable shall comply with the requirements of Table 1. The qualified pouring materials should meet the requirements of the manufacturer's technical documents. Under normal circumstances, the slump of the pouring material is 30 ~ 50mm, the color should be consistent, there must be no segregation and bleeding. Stir with a dry agitator. For the first agitation, it is advisable to add a little bit of the mixing solution to wet the mixing equipment beforehand. When mixing different materials (including different batches of materials), the relevant equipment and transportation tools should be cleaned. After the wear-resistant refractory material is stirred, it should be completed within 30 minutes.


After the above work is completed, the pouring/beating work of the wear-resistant refractory castable or the wear-resistant refractory plastic can be performed.
