Hot-flow self-flowing repairing material for converter

The hot self-flowing repairing material is mainly used for the repair of the steel surface and the tapping side of the converter, and is also called a large surface repairing material, referred to as a large fabric. When used, the repairing material is put into the furnace from the furnace mouth, and the furnace body is shaken. The repairing material flows under the action of the residual heat in the furnace and spreads on the damaged part of the furnace lining. The thermal self-flowing repairing material should have the following properties:

1. The self-flowing material has good spreading and fluidity under the residual heat temperature of the converter lining (800~1200 °C).

2. The self-flowing material solidifies quickly after spreading.

3. The solid self-flow material has good adhesion to the original furnace lining material.

4, the self-flow material itself should have good corrosion resistance, can prevent the repair material layer from being eroded during the next smelting.

The self-flowing material uses magnesia and magnesium dolomite sand as the basic raw materials, and the process performance mainly depends on the binder. Commonly used binders are asphalt, resins, or a mixture of the two. The traditional converter large-faced feed is a medium-temperature asphalt mixed heavy-burned magnesia, and so-called burnt feed. Generally, the carbonation time of repairing once should be 40~60min, and the service life is about 10 times. On the basis of asphalt magnesia, the grade of raw materials is improved, and some modified resins and additives are used, which can significantly improve the service life of large-faced feeding materials. And shorten the curing time to 30~40min.
